Billy Forrest Shipp, age 80, went to the Lord July 18, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born December 12, 1931 in Crosbyton, Texas to Mattie D. Dewbre and Forrest D. Shipp. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mattie Billington, his father Forrest Shipp stepfather Dink Billington, brothers Jackie Shipp, Grady Billington and Larry Billington, son Jackie Shipp. He is survived by Roberta Natarus, life partner, daughter Marcella Parsons and sons Billy Owen Shipp, Brent Harrison Shipp, Michael Dee Shipp and Dustin Troy Shipp, grandchildren Jeremy Parsons, Jonathon Parsons, Shelby Parsons, Jillian Shipp, Brendon Shipp and Marissa Smith and three great grandchildren, sisters Shirley Peden, Mearl Ewing (James), Kay Trotter, brothers Sammy and Danny Billington, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many, many friends.He drove a long haul semi for 40 years doing heavy hauling and then various types of groceries. He had been to 49 states and Canada and would have gone to Hawaii he said if they'd build a bridge. He never had a chargeable accident in all those miles and he was proud of that. He won the New Mexico State Truck Driving Championship for 5-Axle Sleepers in 1997 and represented New Mexico in the National Truck Driving Championship in Minneapolis, MN. He loved this life going to different places and fishing with his family. He loved life and people. He will be missed by many. Daniels Family Funeral Services are taking care of cremation. A memorial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations to Wounded Warriors Foundation and ASPCA or to the charity of your choice.
