Bobbie Jeane “Savage” Wheeler passed away on August 3, 2026, with her daughter Nancy by her side. Bobbie was born on May 15, 1931, in Burkburnett TX to Kenzy and Esther Savage. She was proceeded in death by her parents “Kenzy and Esther”, her husband “Floyd”, her daughter “Janice Trujillo”, and her sister “Patsy Jenks Tyree”. Bobbie lived a very full life traveling with her father from place to place as an Evangelist. She lived in the country of Cuba for a year when she was 4. They lived across from a cantina in Santa Fe, NM where she said they would bounce a ball to the beat of the music coming from the cantina. She also lived in Belen, NM, Fort Worth, TX, Saspamco, TX, Ysleta, TX, and Mexico City. She married Floyd J. Wheeler in Roswell, NM on April 17, 1950, they were married for 67 years until Floyd’s death in May of 2017.

Bobbie worked at a variety of jobs; she sold Avon & Tupperware and worked at S&H Greenstamp’s. Eventually she started in banking at Merchants Bank, Albuquerque National “Sunwest” Bank, and retired from the bank in Gallup, NM in 1985. After moving to Albuquerque in 1986 Floyd and her started selling at Gun & Knife shows all over the state where she was known as “The Knife Lady”.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy “Gary” Whitlow of Edgewood, NM, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 5 great grandchildren and their spouses, 1 great great grandchild with one on the way, and many other relatives across the U.S.. She was generous to a fault and gave to many people in their time of need, never asking to be repaid. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
