Mr. Bobby “Pelón” Albert Cruz passed away peacefully on November 28^th, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 81.

Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Amalia Rodriguez and by his father Albert Cruz and his beloved dog Pepe. Bobby is survived by the love of his life Gloria Fox of Rio Rancho; his daughter Jacqueline Cruz and her wife Annette of Rio Rancho; his daughter Janet Gonzales and her husband Ron of Rio Rancho; his daughter Julie Chimento and her husband Brian of Rio Rancho; his son Erick Gallegos and his wife Suzie of Rio Rancho; his brother Leon Cruz and his wife Jenny of Albuquerque; his sister Mary Sanchez of Texas; his sister Rosina Chavez of Santa Fe; his sister Pauline Sandoval of Santa Fe; grandchildren; Ron Gonzales Jr., Nicholas, Adriana and Gabriel Chimento, great-grandchildren; Aliya, Ella and Mya Gonzales. Bobby is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Shadow.

Bobby was born to Amalia Rodriguez and Albert Cruz on Sunday, October 5^th, 1941, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He loved fishing, hunting, going to the casino, camping and telling spooky stories by the campfire. Bobby simply adored Erick, his best friend and his fishing buddies, Felicity (who made his heart melt) along with Suzie, Thomas, and Kirsten.

Special thank you to Erick and all the Gallegos Family for all your love and support. Erick, you always made my dad your priority and for that I’ll always be grateful.

Services will take place on Friday, December 9^th, 2022, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124. Rosary will begin at 10a with Mass at 1030a. Please join us for a reception at the Parish Hall directly after.
