Bobby S. Garcia

Garcia, Bobby S. Age 78, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was called home to our Lord and Savior on Monday, July 30, 2012. Mr. Garcia was born on December 5, 1933 to Fidel and Antonia (Saavedra) Garcia of Albuquerque, NM. Though he was a skilled carpenter by trade, Mr. Garcia was widely known as a talented musician who played lead guitar and keyboards in several prominent New Mexico Spanish music bands for over 40 years. He was an original member of Manny & The Casanovas, a founding member of El Grupo Lumbre, Tierra Chicana Band, and Los Musicos de Cristo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Antonia Garcia; sisters, Loretta and Martha; brother, Leroy; son, Robert; and granddaughter, Krystal. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Eliza (Pohl) Garcia, of Albuquerque, NM; children, Sam Flores and wife, Dianna, Yolanda Jaramillo and husband Joseph, Anthony Flores, Darlene Yalch and husband, Marty, Jamie Flores and wife, Candi, Nora, Annette and Cynthia; siblings, Rose, Rudy, Fidel, Jr., Joe, Guadalupe, Gabriella, James, Lawrence, Margaret, Herman, Marie, and David; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Road NW, Albuquerque, NM.
