Brenda Jean Vogsland, 63, of Rio Rancho New Mexico passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022.

Brenda Jean Vogsland was born March 25, 1958 to Kathleen and Anthony Rabe at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.  She attended Sacred Heart Highschool in East Grand Forks, MN graduating in 1976. She then attended The University of North Dakota.   On December 30, 1978 she married Robin Vogsland at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND.  They were married for 44 years.

Brenda was survived by her husband Robin of Rio Rancho, her daughter Jessica Soppet of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Rebecca Zimmerman of Grand Forks, ND grandchildren Anthony Soppet and Amelia Soppet.  She is also survived by her mother Kathleen Rabe of Grand Forks ND and her sister Michele Rubright  of Columbus, OH as well as 17 nieces and nephews.  Brenda was preceded in death by her father Anthony Rabe and her daughter Rachel Karen Vogsland.

Brenda was a homemaker  for 44 years and Jazzercise Class Manager for 30 years.  She led many Bible Studies at St. John Vianney Church for 11 years and was the Director of Adult Education from 2011 to 2018.  She loved to study the Bible and guide others in that study. Brenda took great pleasure in cooking, The Catholic Doctrine and Practice.  She homeschooled her children and remained interested in helping others homeschool. She was one of the friendly faces that greeted visitors, and counciled and supported people dealing with and unexpected pregnancy at the Origins Pregnancy Care Center.

Brenda touched many lives through her volunteer work, church family, Jazzercise and online communities.  She brought light and love into her relationships and communities.  She will be greatly missed. Her family takes comfort in the knowledge that she has joined The Lord, her father Anthony, daughter  Rachel and all those who have  left this troubled world with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.  Such happiness does not end.

Her favorite verse is "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God (2 Cor. 1:3-4)
