Brooke Jewel Torrey

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Brooke Jewel Torrey, beloved mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, and friend, who left us on August 7th 2025 at the age of 25. Brooke passed during the delivery of her first child, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. 

Brooke was born along with her twin brother Brock on March 8th 2000, to her loving father Roger Strothmann. From a very young age she radiated her kind and loving heart with the world. She built a life of love for weightlifting, taking care of friends and family and a love for sports, but above all she cherished her family and her faith in God.

To know Brooke was to know true kindness and compassion. She was generous to fault and was the type of person that put all others above herself. She found joy in taking care of others and trying to better the world, one beaming smile at a time. For those fortunate enough to have met her, they can all attest in saying that when she entered a room, an overwhelming joy came with her. She was the type of person that could turn any bad day into a good one and make a good day great. Her kindness and compassion came so naturally to her that she would always deny the effect that she had on others. Brooke's impact on the world was always known to be large, in her passing we have learned just how profound her impact was and how many lives she truly touched.

Brooke’s love and legacy live on in her husband; Austin, daughter; Phoenix, father; Roger, brothers; Brock and Nick, father and mother in-law; Robert and Patty, brother and sister in-law; Brandon, Colton, Megan, Samantha, and Amber, nieces; Presley, Brylee, Sutton, and Sailor, nephew; Jacob and countless friends. She is proceeded by aunts, uncles and grandparents from both sides of her family.

A viewing and rosary will be held for on August 19th, 4:30-6:30PM at Church of the Incarnation in Rio Rancho. The following day a funeral mass will be held at the same location. Mass will begin at 10am, we ask all those who wish to attend to arrive around at 9am as a eulogy and words from her husband Austin will be given prior to the mass. We gather to honor and celebrate a beautiful life well-lived.
