Calvin Tom

Services for Calvin Ray Tom, 33, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, at family home, Crownpoint, with Rock of Ages. The Rev. Harry D. Largo will officiate. Burial will be in Crownpoint. Visitation will be following services. Tom died Sept. 18, 2010, in Crownpoint. He was born June 6, 1977, in Crownpoint, into the Zuni People Clan for the Zia People Clan. Tom did carpentry. His hobbies included hiking, fishing, camping and being with family. Survivors include his son, Darius Dave Tom of Becenti; daughters, Angelina Mae Tom of Becenti, Terrilyn Leann Casiquito of Becenti; parents, Elsie and Mark Cook Sr.; brothers, Mark Cook Jr., Martin Michael Cook, Sherman Tray Cook, all of Crownpoint; sisters, Bernita Tom, Quincita Tom, Candelaria Cook,Cindelaria Cook, Certina Cook, all of Crownpoint. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Paddy H. Tom; brother, Irvin Tom; sister, Bertina Tom. Pallbearers will be Mark Cook Jr., Troy Cook, Shelton Bitsui, Martin Michael Cook, Randell Platero, Austin Emerson. The family will receive relatives and friends at 6 p.m., tonight, Sept. 21, at Crownpoint Chapter House.
