Carl Ferris

Carl Ferris, age 92, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1985, passed away March 11, 2023.  He is survived by his wife Peggy, his two beloved dogs, Molly Marine and Gunner, his Marine Corps brothers and sisters, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Johannah (Kellner) Ferris, and sister Jackie Holcomb.

Carl proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was one of the ‘Chosin Few’, having fought at the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.  He was an active member of the Marine Corps League LCpl Christopher Adlesperger Detachment in Rio Rancho.  Carl was also a longtime member of the Masons, and the Shriners, where he held many positions over the years.

A Graveside service for Carl will take place Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM.
