Carol Ann Campbell

Carol Ann Campbell, 64, of Aztec, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. She was born in Gallup, on Aug. 22, 1945 to Mims and Bonnie Lane. Carol attended Aztec High School. In 1965, she married Stan Campbell. Carol was employed by San Juan County for 20 years, serving in multiple positions including that of County Assessor. Carol was known for her love of race horses, her many road trips to Nevada with friends and her feisty spirit. Carol was a member of First Baptist Church of Aztec. Carol is survived by her husband of 44 years, Stan; her son, Lt. Col. Steve Campbell and his wife Cori, of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughter Shawna Reid and her husband Chris, of Aztec; her two step-children, Stan Campbell and Yvette Partlow; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Johnny Lane and wife Teresa, of Bloomfield, and Tim Lane of Rio Rancho; along with numerous nephews and nieces. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons, Mitchell Reid and Derrick Campbell, and her nephews, Brandon Lane, Tim L. Lane and Ryan Lane.
