CAROLYN’S SMILE

Though Carolyn’s smile and laughter are gone forever we will still have so many memories of the one we loved so much.  Her memory is now our keepsake in our hearts forever.  God has her in HIS hands forever in Heaven.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Her smile and laughter, loving the Lord, reading, playing board games, playing cards, and long scenic car rides.

OBITUARY

Carolyn was born in Queens, NY.  Her parents, Charles and Edna Wellbrock had triplets and sadly, Carolyn was the only surviving triplet.  She had a very difficult start in life, being premature by 9 weeks and only weighing 3 pounds.  It did not stop her success in life. 

She lived in Queens with her parents, two brothers, and one sister until the age of 27.  In 1973, she went on an adventure from New York to New Mexico with her Italian friends.  She lived with her friends in the Rio Communities east of Belen.  She loved the land of enchantment for its many different landscapes and the weather.  The Rio Communities in Belen was her favorite place due to the German culture. 

Carolyn has always worked in administration, office support.  She started with temporary agencies but was hired permanently with the Department of Defense-Air Force Civil Service at Kirtland Air Force Base in 1974.  She worked as a keypunch operator, billing, and medical appointment clerk.  She retired from the Department of Defense-Air Force in 2011 after 37 years. 

She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord.  She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, praising the Lord, singing, and listening to worship music.  She looked forward to attending Belen Missionary Baptist Church every week and hearing the sermons from her pastor Larry Terrell.
