Llamas, Catherine "Cathy" Lynne
Passed into the loving arms of God on Thursday, May 12, 2016, with her loving family at her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Sanchez; grandmother, Beatrice Sanchez; mother-in-law, Ruth Llamas and brother in-law, Fernando Llamas. She leaves behind her loving husband, of 20 years, Rudy Llamas Jr.; her beautiful children, Matthew, Melanie and Mikayla Llamas; her brother, Frankie Sanchez Jr. and wife Alicia; uncle, Michael Sanchez and wife Martha; grandfather, Juan Sanchez; father-in-law, Rudy Llamas and sister-in-law, Angeline Llamas. She loved her nieces and nephews, Miranda and Joshua Sanchez, Eric Joel, Elizabeth and Elias Cordova, Jordan Vigil, Domonique and Vincent Llamas and cousins, Angela and Becky Sanchez; family friend, Damon Dow and wife Tiffany. Cathy loved her students, past and current, at the Truman Middle School where she taught for 12 years and was head of the Social Studies Department for 4 years. She graduated from West Mesa High School in 1995, and UNM in 2004. She will be loved and missed dearly. Rosary will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Aquinas Catholic Church at 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30. Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park at 12:00pm. Pallbearers will be Eric Joel, Joshua, Vincent,Matthew and Elias.
