Cecil Martin

Cecil Martin died July 10, 2011, in China Springs. He was born July 2, 1956, in China Springs. Martin was born into the Red Running into the Water People Clan and born for the Bitter Water People Clan. Martin graduated from Wingate High School and he also graduated with an Associate's Degree in Business Management from New Mexico State University. He was a member of the Navajo Nation Band and he was a member self-employed. Martin enjoyed being with his family and he loved cooking. Survivors include his brothers, Larry Martin of Yahtahey, James Martin of Milan, Dean Martin of Gallup; sister, Nora Mariano of Thoreau, NM. Martin was preceded in death by parents, Frank Martin and Clara Martin; brothers, Marvin Martin and Anson Martin. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Martin Jr., Gilford Martin, Martin Mariano, Larris Martin, Coy Cody Martin, Christopher Tsosie. A family gathering will be 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at the Rock Springs Chapter. Friends and relatives are encouraged to attend.
