Celene Rachelle Garcia (Woolley), 29, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 22, 2025. Born on September 13, 1995, in Liberal, Kansas, Celene brought warmth, joy, and compassion to everyone she met.
A proud graduate of Farmington High School, Celene earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and later pursued a master’s degree in nutrition from Marywood University. With a deep passion for health and service, she worked as a dedicated Dietitian, using her knowledge to better the lives of others.
Celene’s heart was most full when she was surrounded by those she loved — sharing laughter over a home-cooked meal, exploring new places through travel, or simply being present with her family. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness knew no limits.
She gave more than she ever took — always the defender of the underdog, the voice for those less heard, and someone who lived by the courage of her convictions. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and a challenge to all of us: to rise to the level of love, grace, and authenticity that she lived by.
Celene is survived by her husband, Derrick Garcia; her parents, Pam and Jeff Woolley; her sister, Brittany Chavez; and countless other loved ones, friends, and fur friends.
Celene's Memorial will take place on May 10, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the University of New Mexico Alumni Chapel. Reception to follow at Red Door Brewing Downtown. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Animal Humane Society of New Mexico
