Celina Marquez

Celina Romero Marquez , 94, passed into eternity on Friday, August 12, 2011. She was born December 23, 1916 in Chacon, NM and lived her adult life in Albuquerque before moving to Las Cruces to be with her family before her passing. Celina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, but above all a mother to her children and to so many others she'd taken in. A care-giver to the ill and disabled, she never turned away anyone in need. She was a woman of great faith in God and cared for all those around her. She had a wonderful sense of humor that put a smile on everyone's face. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, two husbands and three sons. Celina is survived by her two daughters; Sadie Sanchez and Gloria Neal and sons in law, Andy and Mark, grandchildren; Raymond, Margaret, Kathy, Lisa, Linsey and Landon as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was some kind of woman! Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00pm.
