Charles Robert Aguilar, affectionately known as “Chuck,” was born on November 12, 1975, and passed away on April 30, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a cherished family man, remembered for his devotion to his sons, Christopher and Anthony, as well as his warm relationships with extended family and friends.
Chuck graduated from Bernalillo High School in 1994, where he played basketball. His passion for the LA Dodgers and Lakers, allowed him to bond with his family and friends over shared experiences and unforgettable games.
Professionally, Chuck dedicated himself to the craft of barbering, where he found joy in working within his community and making connections with the many clients who frequented his chair. Chuck’s talents also included making Santero wood carvings, a skill that showcased his artistic side. He took great pleasure in participating in the San Lorenzo Fiesta, embracing the traditions and joys of his culture.
Chuck is survived by his father, Charles J. Aguilar; his brother, Lawrence Aguilar; and his beloved sons, Christopher and Anthony Aguilar. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Aguilar, and his brother, Christopher Aguilar.
Services will be held in his honor at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. A Rosary will take place on May 13, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM, followed by a Mass on May 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Chuck will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery on May 14, 2025, with the burial beginning at 12:15 PM. The Pallbearers will be Jason Lovato, David Lepre, Santiago Montoya, Paul Madrid, David Garcia, Manuel Montano, Martin Aguilar, and Jonathan Dominguez.
As we remember Chuck, we celebrate a life filled with love, family, and a dedication to the community that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
