Charlie Dodge Jr., 54, born July 21, 1954 in Nenahnezad, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Charlie was a life-long resident of Farmington and after graduation from Navajo Prepatory School, worked as a heavy equipment operator for 36 years for BHPBilliton, New Mexico-Coal. Charlie was an avid motorcyle rider and was devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Stella, and a large family who they raised. Included are 13 children; Thelma Begay, Pamela Bustamonte and husband Lucaz, Lionel Yazzie and wife Candance, Lynell Yazzie, Aaron Yazzie, Shawna Yazzie and husband Derrick, Tasha Begay, Samantha Begay, Timothy Begay, Shilow Begay, Trudy Jim, Janelle Hogue and Rhonda Manulito; 42 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 31 nieces and nephews; aunts: Sarah White, Rose White, Bessie Bunny, Betty Platero, Louise Wadsworthy, Shirley Dodge, Sharon Johnhat and Juanita Begay; uncles: Harold Dodge, Billy White Begay and Johnny White Begay; sisters: Charlene Daukei and her 3 sons and 4 grandchildren, Judy Becenti and husband Richard and their 4 sons and 3 grandchildren, Thelma Begay and her 3 daughters, 2 sons and 8 grandchildren, Teresa Dodge, Evans Dodge and wife Justine and 1 daughter and 1 son, Melvin Dodge and wife Belle and their 2 daughters and Calamity Dodge. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Dodge Sr. and a sister, Joanne Myra Dodge. Pall Bearers are: Lionel, Lynell, Aaron, Lucaz, Shilow and Elton. Alternate pall bearers are Kurt, Dietrich, William and Timothy. Honorary pall bearers are Dodge, Daukei, Begay, Lee, Yazzie, employees of BHP and biker friends.
