Charlotte Winslow Christian

Charlotte Winslow Christian, 73, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on March 1, 2026, in Rio Rancho. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on March 28 at the First Baptist Church of Albuquerque, 4101 Paseo Del Norte NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

Charlotte was born in Chowan County, NC, to Charlie and Sybil Monds Winslow on March 24, 1952. She married Ronald Christian on October 1, 1971, in Sparta, NC. She attended DePaul School of Nursing in Norfolk, VA, before completing her training in Santa Fe, NM.

Charlotte dedicated her life to helping others, spending much of her career at Los Alamos Women's Health Services in Los Alamos, NM, before serving as the Clinical Nurse Manager at Perinatal Associates of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Charlotte worked in perinatology, obstetrics and gynecology, labor and delivery, and even pediatrics.

Charlotte made the world a much better place, demonstrating the love of God and Jesus Christ in everything she did, from helping countless mothers and babies during her decades of nursing, to community service activities through Beta Sigma Phi sorority, to being a wonderful mother to her children and many others. Although she lived most of her life in NM, she was proud of being from the South and never let go of her accent. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and Washington Commanders football teams, March Madness, and pretty much anything else she could watch. Some of her happiest moments involved watching her kids and their friends participate in their extracurricular activities and anything involving her grandkids.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Murray Winslow. She is survived by her children, Jason, Amber, Ian, and Alan (Kiki); her sisters, Sharon Ward (Sandy) and Carolyn Harrell; her grandchildren, Romi, Sydney, and Sawyer; her devoted friend, Malcolm Thomas; and many other friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Casa Esperanza in Albuquerque, NM, or a favorite charity.
