PROUDFOOT�?¯�?¿�?½�?¯�?¿�?½”Chester L. Proudfoot, 89, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, of 65 years; three children, Susan Anderson (Dwane) of Anchorage, AK, Michelle Birmingham (James) of St. Joseph, MO, and Shawn Proudfoot of Albuquerque; two brothers, John Proudfoot (Bobbie) of Coatesville, PA, and Walter Proudfoot (Ruth) of Parksburg Gap, PA; one sister, Louise Hershey of Parksburg Gap, PA, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Proudfoot proudly served in the U. S. Army in WWII. Chester and Martha resided in Alaska for 46 years where he was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Anchorage, Orient of Alaska, and later in the Valley of Santa Fe, Orient of New Mexico. He was Past Deputy for the Grand Lodge of Washington State, Past Deputy for Alaska for 44 years, Past Master for Anchorage Lodge #221 in Anchorage, AK, and Past Deputy for the Scottish Rite Supreme Council, Washington, D.C., as well as an avid fisherman and storyteller.
