Chris P. Conley

Chris P. “Conley” Conley died unexpectedly at his home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 71.

Chris is survived by his wife Christine Conley of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, his cousin Phil Davis of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his cousin Pam Trostorff of Warner, New Hampshire, his cousin Ingrid Lee of Flagstaff, Arizona, his cousin Kristie Bradner of Yorktown, Virginia, his cousin Karin Cummings of Phoenix, Arizona, and by his children Michael and Michelle Conley. He is also survived by his dear kitty Mandy. Chris is preceded in death by his mother Ruth P. (née Parybus) Conley and father John (Jack) Conley.

 Chris was born to Ruth and John Conley in Syracuse, New York on Sunday, November 5th, 1950. He attended Pompano Beach High School in Pompano Beach, Florida and graduated in 1968. Chris then attended The University of Florida located in Gainesville, Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1972. Chris married Christine Beal-Huber on the beach in Deerfield Beach, Florida on Sunday, December 7, 2003. They were married for over 18 years.

Chris worked at Rent A Center for six years in Deerfield Beach, Florida from 2000-2006, after that he then transferred his job as Credit Manager to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, retiring there in 2014. Chris has received numerous awards in Customer Service as a Credit Manager and Sales Manager.

Special interests of Chris’ included native plant gardening, mountain biking, Cars (Porsche, Muscle Cars), Music (he was a lead guitarist for several rock bands, blues, jazz, acoustic guitar), hiking with Christine, motorcycles – Harley Davidson, sports bikes, surfing, boating and tennis.

Chris was also 31 years sober in the Fellowship of Recovery.

A favorite quote of Chris’ was “One day at a time!”.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Road Runner Food Bank in Albuquerque, New Mexico or to Watermelon Mountain Ranch in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
