Age 89, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016. Christel was born November 11, 1926 in Marienburg, Germany to Paul and Meta Heideck. She was married to Samuel Weatherford on September 15, 1948 in Bad Wildungen, Germany. They were married for 60 years. Christel is preceded in death by her parents and Samuel, her husband. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Weatherford , Donna DeFeo and Candis Kelchner; Grandchildren Rebecca Holets, Peter Kelchner, and Caleb Kelchner; Great-grandchildren Annalise, Daniel and Timothy Holets. Christel enjoyed knitting and square dancing. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
