Cristina Flores Rodriguez, age 94, a longtime resident of Socorro, New Mexico, passed away on September 26, 2026, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Cristina was born on December 20, 1931, in Santo Tomas, Mexico, to Refugio Flores and Macedonia Rascon Flores.

Cristina was a woman of great Christian faith whose life was centered around her family. She deeply loved and adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, and she gave that love freely and unconditionally. Spending time with those she loved brought her great joy, and her devotion to her family was evident throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Jose Rodriguez; her father, Refugio Flores; her mother, Macedonia Rascon Flores; her son, Jose “Santana” Rodriguez; her daughter, Maria Rodriguez; and her granddaughters, Claudia Estrada and Antoinette Tafoya.

Cristina is survived by her children, Fernando Rodriguez and his wife, Lupe; Lorenzo Rodriguez and his wife, Alma; Ramona Tafoya and her husband, Richard; Olivia Tafoya and her husband, Carlos; Antonio Rodriguez; and Josefina Wills and her husband, Richard. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Macaria, wife of her late son, Jose “Santana” Rodriguez; 20 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Cristina will be remembered for her strong faith, her devotion to family, her unconditional love, and her wonderful smile that brought warmth to those around her. Her legacy will live on through the many generations of family who were blessed to know and love her.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Daniels Funeral Home in Socorro, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at San Miguel Parish Church in Socorro, New Mexico, beginning with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., with Mass to follow.

Pallbearers, all grandsons of Cristina, will be Richie Tafoya, Luis Tafoya, Victor Lovato, Jesus Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Richard D Wills, Julio Estrada, and Brian Tafoya.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and will always remain in our hearts.
