POWELL- Christine Corona Powell went to be with her Lord Jesus on November 19, 2010. She is already greatly missed! Christine was born in Los Angeles back in late December, 1964. She was immediately firstborn daughter, grand-daughter, niece and sister! She accumlated many loving family members through her life. She is survived by her father Robert Corona and his wife Connie; mother Gloria Corona; brother Robert and wife Rosemary and nieces Sophia and Ava; sister Michele and husband George and nieces Olivia and Georgia; sister Kathy and nephews Robby and Carlos and nieces Christine and Andi; grandmother Soledad Arriola; aunties Petra and Mona and Terry and Cecilia and Stella with their families and uncles Gilbert and Paul and Carlos and Steve and Richard and their families. She is also survived by her husband of 289 months, David Aaron Powell; father-in-law Jaye Powell: mother-in-law Cindi Truby; sisters-in-law Debbie and Diana and Jennifer and their families and brother-in-law Danny and his family. She is preceded in death by her pups Duke, Mysti, Ashe and Brynn! Christine was born in California (where she resided for 14 years) and then moved to Texas (where she graduated from Coronado High School in 1983) and then on to Oklahoma (where she met David in 1984 and then married him in 1986) and then finally to New Mexico (where she resided for 23 years). Christine struggled with multiple sclerosis for many years. It ultimately took her life but never her spirit. She was a beautiful gentle person with a sweet soul, always ready with a kiss or a handshake. The fragrance of her life lingers! Memorial Services to celebrate her life are on Saturday, November 27, at Rio West Community Church, 6751 Pasilla Road NE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87144. Viewing begins at 10am with Memorial Service at 11am with a reception following at noon. Gravesite services from 2 to 230pm at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87124. With hearts of gratitude, Christine's husband and family want to thank all those who prayed for her and who extended grace to her and who loved her and who gave her their friendship and kindness and compassion and tenderness and for all those who helped provide for her care these many years.
