Christopher Earl
Ross
December 8, 1970 – May 31, 2026
Christopher Earl Ross, 55, of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away on May 31, 2026.
Chris was born on December 8, 1970, and raised in Los Alamos. He graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1989 and dedicated more than 25 years of service to Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he was respected for his hard work, commitment, and professionalism.
Chris had a lifelong passion for sports. He was a devoted fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Chicago Cubs. Beyond being a fan, Chris excelled as an athlete, particularly in basketball and softball, where his competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and love of the game were evident to all who played alongside him.
Music was also an important part of Chris's life. He played drums in a local band and enjoyed sharing his love of music with friends and family. Whether attending a game, playing music, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying good company, Chris found joy in the moments spent with those he cared about most.
Known affectionately to friends and family as "Rossman" and "Roscoe," Chris was loved for his warm heart, quick wit, loyalty, and ability to make friends wherever he went. He never met a stranger and had a gift for bringing people together through laughter and genuine kindness. Chris was especially known for his endless stream of puns, often keeping them coming until someone finally surrendered and declared, "Uncle, enough!"
Chris was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Bremer.
He is survived by his parents, Fred Ross and Merrily Ross; his brothers, David Bremer and Louis Bremer; his sister, Kim Bremer; and his lifelong friends, Joey Kowalczyk and Martin Pacheco. He also leaves behind many friends, coworkers, teammates, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
Chris's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
No flowers or donations are requested.
A gathering to celebrate Chris's life and spread his ashes will be announced at a later date.
The family extends their gratitude to all who have offered support, prayers, and friendship during this difficult time.
May we honor Chris by sharing a laugh, cheering for our favorite teams, enjoying music with friends, and never passing up the opportunity for one more pun.
