Clara “G.G.” T. Martinez, age 95, passed away May 27, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born August 8, 1926 to her parents, Pablo and Gertrudes Trujillo in Coyote, NM.
She married Luis Martinez, October 19, 1946, in El Rito, NM.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband of 55 years, Luis Martinez; granddaughter, Elizabeth Martinez; three sisters; four brothers; and many more family members.
She is survived by: her son, Phillip Martinez and wife, Della of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Luis Arrendondo and wife Deanna of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Veronica Martinez of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Matthew Martinez of Albuquerque, NM; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Gertrudes Montoya of Albuquerque, NM.
She was a longtime member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She participated in Bible study with friends to learn more about God.
She helped to distribute commodities to the residents of Encino Gardens.
Her favorite hobby was collecting shoes. She also enjoyed going to the casino in her spare time.
Clara was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, who was loved and will be greatly missed by many family members. She was also very giving and faithful to God. She loved her family very much, with all of her heart.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
