Clifford E. Sorenson

Sorenson, Clifford E. Age 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was born on September 20, 1921 in Wakonda, SD. He was raised on a dairy farm southeastern South Dakota. He retired in 1981 from civil engineering as a project superintendent in the construction industry. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, excellent sense of humor, his dedication to the Albuquerque amateur radio community and traveling with his friends in their RV camping club. Cliff loved music and even taught himself to play the keyboard at the age of 80. Cliff was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Sorenson, in 1989, and second wife, Dorothy Sorenson, in 2001. He is survived by his four children, Katie Walton, and husband, Richard, of Palisades, CO, Esther Paap and husband, Roy, of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM, and Don Sorenson and wife, LeeAnn, of Dillon, CO; step-children, Leesa Adcock, of Houston Texas, Joe Gordon, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Seth Walton and wife, Lindsey, Jason Walton, Tyler Walton and wife, Pam Virden, Holly Myers and companion, Thomas Gray, Beth Wofford and husband, David, Brendon Paap, Bradly Adcock, Donielle Sorenson, Audrey Adcock and Steven Sorenson; great-grandchildren, Ellie Walton, Leah Walton, Madi Walton, Brooke Walton, Cyrus Walton, and Jillian Wofford; and older sister, Gladys Chadwick. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
