Colleen Kaye Lopez

April 13, 1958 — August 3, 2021

Colleen K (Hubbard) Lopez, age 63, was peacefully called home  on Tuesday August 3, 2021 in Lemitar, NM while surrounded by her loving family.  Colleen was born in Roswell, NM on April 13, 1958. Later she moved to Socorro, NM where she married Daniel Lopez, a union of 42 years.

Colleen retired from Tripps Inc after 37 years of faithful service. Colleen loved living on the farm, growing tomato plants, tending to her roses, and watching the evening sunsets. She loved to cook for others, garden and travel to see her family in Alaska to go fishing. Her pride and joy was her family, specifically her two granddaughters. Colleen had the kindest of hearts and was fulfilled by serving others. We are grateful for such a blessed life as she was the best daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister one could ask for.  

Colleen is preceded in death by her father Havard Hubbard and niece Carla Pearson. She is survived by her mother Dora Hubbard; husband Daniel and their two daughters Vanessa Lopez, Michelle Lukesh and husband Carl; granddaughters Joslyn and Macy Lukesh; sisters Connie Adams and husband Boyd, Cheryl Valdez and husband Tom, Maureen Miller and husband Charlie, Sandra Rake and husband Lon; and brother Brian Hubbard and wife Lori and many nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers are Cecil Rosales, Carl Lukesh, Darryl Cases, Boyd Adams, Jeff Wells, Wendell Wells, Kaleb Hubbard, Paul Valdez.  Honorary Pallbearers- Austin Rake, Quienten Henderson, Tom Valdez, Charlie Miller, Lon Rake & Rob Lopez.

A celebration of Colleen’s life will be held at Gran Quivera Church on August 9, 2021 at 11:30 am with burial to follow at White Lake Cemetery.  Colleen’s care has been entrusted to Daniels Family Funeral Services, 309 Garfield, Socorro, New Mexico 87801.
