Colton Chase Francis Candelaria, 17, of Aztec passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at his home. Colton was born November 3, 1993 in Durango, Colorado the son of Francis L. Canderlaria and Sylvia (Armenta) Candelaria. Colton was a wonderfully kind and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. Colton was currently a junior at Aztec High School and would have graduated in 2012. He was a member of FFA in Aztec, Pioneer 4-H, Aztec High School wrestling and youth wrestling teams, member of LifeTeen and yearbook staff. Colton was also a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Blanco. Colton was loved by many. He had a contagious smile that would light up the darkest day. He will be deeply missed. We all love and miss you Colton and one day we will see you again. Colton leaves behind his parents, little brother Cody Candelaria and older sister Erica Candelaria and special sister Dannielle Wages; grandparents Jennie Armenta and Genevieve Candelaria; Uncle & Aunts: Jimmy Armenta(Vivian), Steve Armenta Jr.(Kitty), Christine Casas(Martin, Tommy Armenta(JoAnn), Sara Armenta, Lenny Candelaria(Bernadette), Stephanie Martinez(Carlos), Chris Candelaria(Lori), Paulette Candelaria(Jason),and numerous Great Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Pablo Candelaria and Steve Armenta, Sr.; uncle Charlie Armenta and cousin Jessica Armenta. Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington. Rosary for Colton will be Sunday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Blanco with the Legion of Mary and Deacon Roger Garcia leading the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 25, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Blanco with Father Bob Mathieu as celebrant. Colton will then be laid to rest at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Blanco. Pallbearers are Ace Eavenson, Lane Templeton, Monty Gomez, Chase Polledo, Michael Munkres, Rio Escojeda, March Candelaria and Elijah Arenas. Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob Spencer, Dalton Martin, Joey Dotson, Jac Painter, Jarrett McKnight, All Aztec Wrestling Brothers and All Aztec FFA.
