In Loving Memory of Corrine Martinez

Corrine Martinez, 86, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, surrounded by her daughters. Born on April 23, 1939, in Albuquerque, she was the beloved daughter of Fred and Estella Lopez and the cherished and beloved mother of Marilyn Maldonado, Cathy Martinez, Arleen Lucero, Ana Drake and Carla Garcia.

Corrine is survived by her five daughters, four sons-in-law, twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her late husband, Joe Floyd, the love of her life, who she joined on the death of his anniversary, April 15.

Corrine lived a life filled with humor, kindness, generosity, unwavering faith in God and love for her family. She was known for her jokes, crocheting, word puzzles, game shows, peanut butter & jelly, taking care of her family, singing Las Mananitas for everyone’s birthday and praying her Rosary daily. Family get-togethers for holidays, birthdays and any occasion made her happy, especially when it included Cookies!

She was a strong and amazing woman who dedicated her life to her late husband, Joe and always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She will be dearly missed by her family, especially her five daughters who adore her with all their hearts. Her memory will forever be treasured by all who knew her.

Her love, wisdom, and jokes will live in our hearts forever.

A Rosary will take place on May 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, with a reception to follow at the Queen of Heaven Parish Hall.
