Curtis I. Peña

Curtis "Curt" I. Peña, Loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the age of 53. He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Anastacio and Alice Peña. Curtis graduated from Hatch Valley High School. He was employed Vulcan Materials. 

Curtis adored his family and loved spending time with them. He was an excellent outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juan N. and Paula S. Trujillo; paternal grandparents, Anastacio M. and Aurora Peña.

Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Alina Peña; children, Victoria Nadine Peña, Gabriella Anali Del Rio, Michael Paul Naranjo, Abel Carlos, Cesar Angel Del Rio; son-in-law, Thomas James Martinez; sister, Cynthia Peña; brothers, Silvan (Victoria), Stan (Stacey) Peña, and Christopher (Liz) Peña; nephews and nieces,  Noelle and Robert Garcia, Victor and Kaitlin Peña, Marcos and Sarah Peña, Alex Peña, Joanne and Jolene McClure, Nova Peña and Rogelio Calderon, Roxy Peña, Chevonne Peña, Leah Peña, Vanessa Peña, Casey Flores, and Justin Flores

Per Curt's request we will not hold a public viewing.

Rosary to be recited on Monday, February 18, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho. 

Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park at 11:45 a.m. 

Pallbearers will be Michael Naranjo, Thomas Lawrence Martinez, Cesar Del Rio, Roxy Peña, Richard Whiting, and Rogelio Calderon.

Honorary Bearers are Rudy Villarael, Abel Carlos, Nova Peña, Vanessa Peña, and Robert Garcia.
                            
Curtis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
