Dan L. Wilson

Age 91, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018. He was born in Monticello, MS on April 11, 1927, to and George and Bertha Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Alice Wilson; brothers, David, Donald, and Paul Wilson.

Dan is survived by wife, Angelina G. Wilson of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Durwood (Willidean) Wilson of McComb, MS; sisters, Marcell McIntosh of Jackson, MS and Lynda Vigurie of Hattiesburg, MS; daughters, Sharon Pulis of Ocala, FL., Lisa Wilson of Albuquerque, NM; son, Daniel Wilson of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Shauna Montoya and her husband Gino, their children Ambrose, Elijah, and Shaelynn. Joshua Wilson, Hope Wilson, Faith Wilson, and Angel. Shannon Munro, her husband Keith, their three children Brandon, Gabrielle, and Hunter. Daniel Pulis, his wife Jeanne, their five children Dalton, Jacob, Gabriel (Gabe), Abigail (Abbie), and Elizabeth (Ellie). Joseph Pulis, his wife Devyn Pulis, their two children Averie, and Gavin.

Dan was in the Air Force for 20 years. He served in WWII and Vietnam. He received the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal and many more.  Dan married the love of his life Angelina Gutierrez on August 9, 1958 at Kirtland AFB Chapel. They were happily married for 60 years. He was employed by Kirtland Weapons Laboratory (Dept. of Defense) for 25 years. He enjoyed being a Softball Umpire, working with his hands as a Carpenter and welder. But most of all traveling with his love Angie. Dan was a member of the VFW- American Legion Post 69, NRA (National Rifle Association), Master Mason Grande Lodge of Mississippi for 65 years. He was also a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church and Wounded Warriors Paralyzed Veterans of America. 

Family, Community and Country was his passion. His passing was peaceful as he was surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 - at 10:00 am, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM.  

Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 11:00 am, Sara Chapel Road, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM.

Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM.
