Daniel Joseph Chandler

CHANDLER - Daniel Joseph Chandler, age 62 of Rio Rancho, NM was born on August 13, 1947 and went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 20, 2010. He is survived by his son, Michael (Georgia) Chandler; grandsons, Bryan and Gabe Chandler; daughter, Valerie (Dominic, Sr.); granddaughters, Danielle and Monika Pacheco; grandson, Dominic (Mateo) Pacheco, Jr.; and son Jarret and girlfriend, (Melissa Gutierrez); grandsons, Melokei and Xavier Chandler; and also his ex-wife of 35 years, Gloria Chandler; and his very dedicated dog, Bravo Chandler and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Chandler and Lavonna Barth-Chandler; brother David Chandler; in-laws, Eilseo and Josie Espinoza; and nephew, Keith Chandler. Daniel served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1972, during the Viet Nam War. He was a long time member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was an accomplished Pilot and Little League Umpire. Daniel was an avid fan of the New Mexico Lobos and Chicago Cubs. He loved to spoil his grandchildren and often gave them anything they desired. He was PROUD to be an AMERICAN!!!! Military Honors will be accorded by the Santa Fe Disabled American Veterans Post #2951 Honor Guard.
