Daniel Mark Peña, age 40, passed away on June 30, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on March 6, 1986, in Pasadena, California, to Mark Anthony Peña and Lisa Renee Peña.
Daniel graduated from Valley High School and was employed by Sonic. He was a devoted member of Legacy Church, where he faithfully attended services on Tuesday and Saturday evenings.
Daniel found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He was known for his kind heart, warm spirit, and his love of sharing meals with those he cared about. His presence brought comfort and laughter to family gatherings, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Anthony Peña.
Daniel is survived by his loving mother, Lisa Renee Peña of Dallas, Texas; his brothers, Joseph Paul Peña and wife, Jesica, of Sachse, Texas, Solomon Peña of Atwater, California, and Aaron Peña and wife, Sara, of Cleburne, Texas; his grandfather and step-grandmother, Paul and Trang Peña of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his grandmother, Leonore Valenzuela of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his uncle and aunt, Vito and Anette Peña of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his aunt, Ruby Peña of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his cousins, Julian Peña and Zachary Peña, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matthew Blumenfeld of Herrick, Illinois, and Nicole Wells of Montesano, Washington; his nieces, Alexis Narez, Xlencya Peña, and Alyanna Peña, all of Sachse, Texas, and Aubrey Peña of Cleburne, Texas; and his nephews, Aayden Peña and Noah Peña of Sachse, Texas, and Lorenzo Peña of Cleburne, Texas.
