Daniel Robert Rivera

Daniel Robert Rivera, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was sent to his eternal home on April 12, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born on October 18, 1951, in Springer, NM, Daniel lived a life marked by dedication, integrity, and love for his family. He built a long and respected career in banking, most recently with CUDL, where he was known for his professionalism, and work ethic. Daniel had recently retired, looking forward to traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberely Kaye Rivera; his daughter, Kristin Machuzak, and her husband, Mike; their kids – his grandkids Lauryn and Dylan, brother Rey Rivera (Pat), sister Connie Maier (Bill). He also leaves behind his nephews Mike Rivera (Merica), Jeff Rivera (Jamie), Greg Maier (Julia), Billy Maier. In addition, he leaves behind step kids Tarrah Marcus (Robbie), Rion Marcus (Samantha), Shawna Freeman (Derek), Emily Abbott (Matt), and Shelby Hickey (Katie) and, grandchildren Emma, Ella, Blair, Dakota, McCoy, Lainey, Connor, Olivia, and Charlotte. Daniel’s life was one that left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Rivera and his parents Helen and Joe Rivera.

He enjoyed golf, bowling, traveling, and watching his grandkids play their sports whether it was soccer, dance, or softball, he was there to support them, ready to cheer them on.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Sagebrush Church NE Heights Location on June 13, 2025, at 10:00am.
