Dante
Gallegos
January 1, 2004 – May 13, 2026
Our dear Dante’ Gallegos passed away on May 13, 2026, unexpectedly. He was a new year’s baby, born January 1st, 2004, to Jerome and Amanda Gallegos in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The family moved to Rio Rancho, NM when he was 6 months old. Michael, his older brother always looked out for Dante’ in everything they did, they were inseparable. Rome’ his younger brother loved spending time with Dante’ and having sleepovers. Dante’ attended high school at Cleveland High where he met many great friends that he continued to hold dear to this day.
Right out of high school he worked with his dad Jerome in the transport business traveling to many different places. He loved traveling, so much that after Jerome died Dante’ knew the business and persisted in it. He also worked as a home health transporter, taking after his dad.
He loved cars and worked with Porsche and Audi of Albuquerque and was recently working to get in at the Lexus dealership. He was currently working at the Tanoan Country Club in Albuquerque.
He loved the mountains, camping, fishing, hiking, and hunting. He was a great basketball player and loved playing with his friends and cousins at TAP and at the MAC. He also loved riding his motorcycle. He began riding his bike in the last year actively and loved his bike. He rode a lot and said it made him feel free.
He enjoyed gaming and was great at it. He was always cracking jokes and taking after his dad Jerome with funny comments and phrases.
He loved all Kinds of music which we’d often hear blaring from his car.
He held his close friends in his heart, James, Carlos (who he called Carl), Amir, Jay, Charlie and so many others.
He spent the most time with his cousins McKenna, Madilynn, Elijah. Little Sage. Savannah and Erica, Derrick James and Daiden.
Dante’ was a gracious, courageous young man whose life was cut short too soon; all of us who knew him, miss him tremendously!
In his short life he made a huge impact on so many people. He had tons of friends that love him and grieve for him. His family, his brother Michael and Denae miss him so, his grandma Loretta will forever miss him. Rome’ will always treasure the moments and time spent with Dante’. All his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will always remember the courageous young spirit of Dante’. None of us will ever be the same without our dear Dante’, but we do know that he is at peace in GOD’s loving hands.
He was preceded in death by both his dad Jerome Gallegos and mom Amanda Otero. He is survived by his Grandma Loretta Romero, his Grandpa Gerard Otero, his brother Michael Gallegos and Denae, and his brother Rome’ Gallegos.
