David Lee Dippert

David Lee Dippert was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 21, 1945. Dave passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the age of 78, peacefully in his Albuquerque home surrounded by his family and pets. He enjoyed his career in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant until retirement in 1994. Over his life, he was also an entrepreneur, a true ‘do it yourself fixer-upper’, a Jack of many trades, a charismatic conversationalist, and a loving family member.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia Dippert, his parents Delbert & Marjorie Dippert, and youngest brother Timothy Dippert. Dave has many surviving family members who carry him in their hearts, cherish the time spent together, and the memories made. He is survived by his five children: Donald Dippert, Jerry Speis, Michael Speis, Vickie Gallegos, and Sherrie Rojas, his brother Steven Dippert, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family members, and friends. 

A Celebration of Life honoring Dave will be held Saturday, June 29th at the New Mexico Veteran’s Memorial located at 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE from 1pm-3pm. 

Dave’s ashes will rest alongside his wife, Pat at the Sante Fe National Cemetery.
