David Dunnam, 63, of Farmington passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He will always remain in the hearts of his wife, his two children, his loving family, and all of the lives he has touched along the way. David was born on February 14, 1947 in San Diego, CA where he spent his childhood and later graduated from Hoover High School. He enlisted in the US Army and split his years of service between Vietnam and Fort Riley, Kansas. After his service, David moved to Durango, Colorado to attend Ft. Lewis College. Although his job would eventually take him across the country, from the beaches of Florida to the great Pacific Northwest, it was Durango and the Four Corners area that he would always keep in his heart. David met and married Gail Overturf, his wife and friend of 27 years, in Farmington and it was to Farmington that they eventually returned to in 2006. David is survived by many who will always hold him dear, including his wife, Gail, son, Travis and wife Jennifer, who live in Rocklin, California and their two children, Brady and Olivia; his daughter, Jessie Michelle from Olympia, Washington; his sister, Margaret Bryan and his brothers, Doug and Ed Dunnam. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
