David Patrick Trujillo

David Patrick Trujillo passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010. He was 64. Mr. Trujillo was born in Grants, New Mexico on June 25, 1946 to Lizardo Trujillo and Flora Velasquez Trujillo. Mr. Trujillo graduated from Grants High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army. He had worked with Kerr-McGee mines and the City of Grants. He was a 1st degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 3683; he was a former member of the Grants Milan Elk Lodge # 2053. But will best remembered as strong, devoted, hardworking, and loving family man, that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Harriet of the family home in Grants, their three children: Pamela Williams, Larry Trujillo and his wife JoAnne, and Jacob Trujillo all of Albuquerque. His four grandchildren: Hilliary, Katlyn, and Donovan Williams, and Jaden Trujillo. His sisters: Annie Montano and Frances Garcia both of Grants. His mother in law: Helen Salazar of Grants. His brother in law: Pablo Jaure of Grants and his sisters in law: Eufemia Trujillo of San Mateo, Patsy Trujillo-Serna of Grants, and Rosanne Trujillo of Albuquerque. And all his other relatives and numerous friends, that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lizardo and Flora Trujillo. His father in law; Epifanio Salazar. His Sister; Candy Jaure. His brothers: Dennis, Mike, and Greg Trujillo. His brothers in law; Carlos Montano and His sister in law; Donna Salazar. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 20, 2010 at 6:00 PM at St. Teresa Catholic Church, and then at 7:00 PM a Rosary vigil will be led by Frank Trujillo. On Thursday October 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM also at St. Teresa Catholic Church, a Funeral Mass will be officiated, by Reverend Alberto Avella. Burial will be at Grants Memorial Park with VFW Post #3221 serving as the military honor guard. A reception will follow services at the new Knights of Columbus Hall. Pallbearers include: Frank Trujillo, Aaron Montano, Michael Trujillo, Lizardo Jaure, Andrew Salazar, Frank Salazar, Daniel Gomez, and Victor Nieto. Honorary Pallbearers include: Eileen Sandoval, Andrea Gonzales, Fred Chavez, Gilbert Martinez, Max Jaramillo, Greg Trujillo Jr. and all his nephews and nieces.
