Davine H Schrum

Our sweetest aloha to our wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Davine Haunani Schrum of Farmington who passed from this life Tuesday, May 25th after a thirteen year battle with breast cancer. She was born March 26, 1939 to Walter C. and Myrtle Nui LaFaver in San Diego, CA. She was married August 16, 1956 to Thomas H. Schrum. She was employed by San Juan College in the Business Office, which she enjoyed immensely. She loved the laughter and closeness she shared with her co-workers as well as the entire SJC family. She was a giving woman who found laughter to be the highlight of life. She was an adventurous woman with a heart of gold. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sonny, Thomas, Fred and Edward LaFaver. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, daughter Mindi-Kim of Farmington, son David (Venette) of Columbia, MD, grandson Milan of Columbia; sisters, Ada Weimer of El Cajon, CA and Hazel Mumby of Houston, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, many friends, and many young people who came into her life whom she loved watching grow up and prosper.
