Debra Lee Rice

Debra Lee Rice, 71, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Dan Rice of Albuquerque, NM; son, Garrett Rice and wife Leah of Albuquerque, NM and The Light of Her Life, her grandson, Brock Rice of Albuquerque, NM.  She was also survived by her brother, Billy Smith and his wife Lawanda of Albuquerque, NM and sister, Rhonda Smith of Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her father William and mother Ima Gean Smith, her brothers Richard Smith and Rodney Smith.

Deb was very well known in her community as friend to all, children adored her and referred to her as Aunt Dub. She always had the biggest and best parties and was well known for loving her Dallas Cowboys, who were not only America’s Team but actually God’s Team.  

Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023; 12:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
