Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputy First Class and New Mexico Air Guard Technical Sergeant Michael A. Levison of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 30. He is survived by the love of his life, Noëlle Ashoo; his mother, Suzanne Piñeda-Levison; his father and wife, Danny and Marie Levison; his siblings, Andrew Levison, Melissa Levison, Phillip Levison, Nikolaus Tremmel; his grandmother, Guadalupe Piñeda; nephews, nieces, extended family, and many good friends. Michael lived his life serving his community, country, and family. His passion for his work left little time for hobbies, but he loved everything automotive. His dream car is his Camaro ZL1.
Michael earned his B.A. degree in Criminology from the University of New Mexico while a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard. He continuously served for over ten years with the Guard in the 210th Red Horse Squadron as a combat engineer, and joined the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy in 2017. In addition to these duties, he served in many other capacities: Emergency Response Team (ERT), Gang Recognition & Intelligence Patrol (GRIP), Field Investigator (FI), Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), Field Training Officer (FTO), and the Metropolitan Air Support Unit (MASU).
Michael was a kind man who believed in paying it forward. In lieu of flowers, please pay it forward in his honor to a cause or charity in service of others.
