Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Diana Blunk, who passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 75.

Diana was a bright light to all who knew her. She was born on December 13, 1950, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and was raised in Enid, Oklahoma. She graduated from Enid High School in 1969 and went on to attend Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City. While in college, she met the love of her life, Danny Blunk. They were married in June of 1973 and built their life together in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where they remained until Danny’s passing in 2024.

Diana became a mother in 1976 with the birth of her first son, Howard. Two years later, in 1978, she welcomed twin boys, Charles and Christopher. Her husband and sons were her greatest joy and the center of her world.

Throughout her life, Diana worked in hospitality, shoe sales, and at local country clubs. She was a true people person who loved meeting others and forming lasting friendships wherever she went. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit made her unforgettable to those she encountered.

She was always giving, caring, and fiercely devoted to her family. She was our steady support and our safe place. The space left by her absence is impossible to fill, but we will carry her love and memory in our hearts forever.

Diana can now rest peacefully knowing that her two adult special-needs sons, Howard and Charles, will always be cared for and supported by their brother Christopher and his wife, Tina — a promise of love and protection that would have meant everything to her.

Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband, Danny Blunk; her parents, Howard and Imogene Francis; and her in-laws, Boyd and Lucy Pearl Blunk.

Diana is survived by her sons: Howard Blunk of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Charles Blunk of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and Christopher Blunk and his wife, Tina, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Shania and Tiana Rael, Brayton Blunk, and her great-granddaughter, Maela Martin.

She is also survived by her brother, Larry Francis and wife Lisa of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Nancy Lopez of El Paso, Texas; her nephew, Buck Francis and his wife Janet of Edmond, Oklahoma; along with several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Diana’s life is being planned in the near future in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at Highland Park Baptist Church, where she worshiped with Howard and Charles prior to moving to New Mexico.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
