Dionicia Montoya

Dionicia "Dana" Montoya, age 90, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on April 15, 2023, surrounded by her family. 
Her life began in Vallecitos, NM, married Reymundo (Ray) Montoya, and made a home and raised her children in Taos, NM. Dana was the co-owner of Montoya's TV & Appliance in Taos. She was an exceptional cook, best known for her Red Chile. 

Dana lived a very rich and adventurous life full of traveling when she was younger, daily walks, and tending to her flowers and roses. She also loved her family and grand pets very dearly. Dana will be greatly missed by all who loved and adored her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Reymundo (Ray) Montoya. 

Those left to cherish her love and memory are daughter Sondra Lease (Tom); sons, Michael Montoya (Lupe') and Ray Montoya (Anna); brothers Phil DeVargas, Arturo DeVargas (Rosemary); sister, Raye Ann DeVargas (Carlos Setien);  grandchildren, Shawn Lease (Candice), Megan McLaughlin (Matt), Marisa Montoya, Mariah Montoya; great-grandchildren, Elijah, and Rylan McLaughlin, and many nieces and nephews. 

a Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
