Dolores A. Vigil

VIGIL-Dolores A. Vigil, 82, a native of Albuquerque, NM and loving mother, grandmother and friend, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Dolores was retired from Smith’s Food and Drug as a meat cutter after 29 years of service and was a member of the Meat Cutter Union for over 40 years. Dolores was dedicated and enjoyed her work. In her later years Dolores liked to knit, crochet and spend time with her family. Dolores is survived by her loving son Pete and wife Emma of Albuquerque, NM.; six brothers, Jose, Andreas, Federico, Clemente, Ricardo and Elly Gutierrez; six sisters, Emily Robinson, Dora Gutierrez, Eloisa Padilla, Priscilla Gutierrez, Lou Ortiz and Catalina Doukas; and two grandsons, Peter Alfredo and Philip Joseph. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Alfredo and Aurelia Gutierrez and her beloved son Frank “Panchito” Martinez. Dolores will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels of Garcia Mortuary on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; reciting of the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. with Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers: Johnny Gutierrez, Eva Gutierrez, Dovina Gutierrez, Anthony Gutierrez, Gabriel Gutierrez and Peter Alfredo Martinez.
