Dolores Isabel Davis Y Sanchez de Yerxa Age 84, Passed away March 17th, 2015 in Albuqurque, New Mexico. Dolores was born in Galisteo, New Mexico on March 7th, 1931 to father, John Sylvester Davis and mother, Tabita Sanchez de Davis. She graduated from Menaul High School in May of 1948. From 1953 until 1986 she worked for the Bell System in New Mexico, Colorado and Virginia. After retirement she worked as secretary for the Albuquerque Seventh-Day Adventist church for three years until she moved to Los Lunas where she joined the Los Lunas Seventh-Day Adventist church. Dolores enjoyed travel; sewing, her church, chili, "Days of our Lives", dancing, and most recently, Dolores had begun participating in water aerobics with her daughter-in-law, Flora and "comadre" Elsa Salvio. Dolores is survived by her son, David Yerxa and his wife Florangeli, sons, Benjamin Yerxa and Michael Padilla, daughter, Martha Thomas and her husband Glenn, grandchildren, Amber Holcomb, and Adam Holcomb and pets Nancy, Rhonda, Fergusson, and Franky. The Family would like to thank all of Dolores' friends and her SDA family who have kept us strong during this trying time, the Salvio/Bustillos Family for enriching Dodo's final years, and we would also like to thank those of you who have prayed for Sophie Thomas, Dolores' Grand-Doggy who also passed this week. Dolores' memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Los Lunas Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 12 Thomas Road, Los Lunas NM 87031. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be given in Dolores' honor to the Adventist Disaster Relief Association, Animal Humane New Mexico, Amistad Crisis Shelter, or New Mexico Special Orchestra at specialorchestra.org.
