Donald Latham Brodmerkel passed away of natural causes at Emeritus Assisted Living in Albuquerque on May 6, 2014. He was born February 6, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA to Margaret Grant Chesnutt Brodmerkel and Jacob Albert Brodmerkel. He worked for American Airlines and Union Carbide Company in Pittsburgh, for Baker Laboratories in Buffalo, NY and in Denver, Colorado as a district manger for 5 western states. He moved to Albuquerque from Pittsburgh in 1966 where he worked for Van Waters & Rogers and as Vice President of Control for Environmental Pollution in Santa Fe, NM at the conclusion of his long successful career. Preceded in death by parents, brother Arthur Brodmerkel of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter Nancy Carol Brodmerkel of Albuquerque, son-in-law James T Parks, Jr. of Oak Ridge, TN. Survived by wife of 48 years Anne M Sams Brodmerkel, and son Anthony Conforti of Albuquerque, daughter Linda Jean Brodmerkel Parks of Oak Ridge, TN, grandchildren Nancy Parks Keller of Idaho Falls, ID, and David James Parks of Charleston, S.C., great-grandchildren Alexander James Paynter of Idaho Falls, ID, Abigail Marie Parks and Spencer James Parks of Dandridge, TN.
