Donald D. Fink

Fink, Donald E. Age 94, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Williamsport, PA on November 13, 1919. Don served in the U.S. Marines and retired to Albuquerque, NM and was self-employed in the laundry business for many years. In 1976 he married the love of his life, Pat, and for the next 38 years shared a life of adventure traveling, building homes and above all love and friendship. Pat brought with her 4 children who Don loved and cared for as his very own. He was preceded in death by his only child, Ronnie; beloved step-son, John Kastner; sister, Viola. Donald is survived by his loving wife Pat; sister, Edna; brother, Bill; step-daughters, Shelley Ramirez (Frank), Rhonda Valdez (Tom), Amy Castillo (Magda Pretorius); 6 grandchildren, Heather Westbrook (Jason), Nathan Randall (Nashe), Renae Renteria (Jose Ortiz), John Valdez, Adam Valdez (Jen), Jack Castillo; twelve great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospital and Kaseman Hospice and the staff for the excellent care and compassion they gave to Don and Pat. Also, Pastor Harry Chapman for his loving care. At Don's request there will be no services. The family will celebrate his life quietly together at a future date. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
