Donald Carl Graham, 73, of Bloomfield, passed into Jesus, waiting arms on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, surrounded by family. He was born April 30 1937, in Denver, Colorado, to Morris and Margaret Graham.
Don graduated from West High School in Denver in 1954. He went on to join the U.S. Coast Guard and served from 1955 to 1963. He was honorably discharged.
Don moved from Denver to Bloomfield with his wife, Alice in 1979. Together, they owned and operated Graham's Starter and Generator Service for more than 20 years.
Don loved any outdoor activities. He never met a stranger and knew every joke in the book. His humor was as endless as his love for his family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Joe Sills.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; sons, Greg Graham and Dwayne (Jackie) Sadler; daughters, Christy (Mike) Graham-Zeulsdorf; Sallie (John) Teague, Cheryl (Bud) Leifheit and Dawn (Landon) Tate; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at San Juan Cardiology, the San Juan Regional Medical Center ICU team and all the special people from Horizon Home Health Care who came to Don's home to care for him.
