Donald E. Peterson (Papo)

PETERSON - Donald E. Peterson (Papo), 73, passed away December 30, 2008. He was born July 30, 1935, to Violet & Gordon Peterson, in Waubay, South Dakota. He is survived by his two children, Gail Imler and her husband Larry, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Stella Terrell of Pensacola, Florida; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert C. Peterson , of Yorba Linda, California; niece, Cindy Runge, of Yorba Linda, California; nephew, Mike Peterson and his wife Eileen, of Federal Way, Washington. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of over 18 years, Abigail Thomas; and daughter Diana Thomas. He was a resident of Albuquerque for over 30 years. Donald was a member of the American Legion Post 99, and retired from the US Air Force. Cremation has taken place. Family requests no flowers to be sent. In lieu of flowers donation may be sent to DAV (296-5061) in Donald's memory.
