Donna Jean Blea went to be with Lord on March 20th, 2026. Donna was born to Manuel R. Barela and Carmen C. Gutierrez on February 6th, 1961 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Donna was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister.
As a Junior in High School, she lettered in Tennis. She truly enjoyed playing tennis, appreciating every moment on the court. Donna graduated from West Mesa High School, Class of 1979. After graduation, Donna was a dedicated manager at Classique Hair Trends for many years. She decided to expand her career path and become a caregiver at 1st Premier Home Care, later becoming the Office Manager for over a decade, showing immense compassion, care, and dedication.
Donna met her husband, Charles Blea in 1975 at the Atrisco Park Baseball Fields. Once they met, they fell deeply in love and were together ever since. They were two peas in a pod, best friends. They married on September 1, 1980, and later welcomed a daughter, Tiffany. They were blessed to have celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage.
In addition to being a dedicated, wonderful and loving mother, Donna loved spending time with family, going on family vacations, shopping, fashion, and her music wasn’t just a love, it was her inspiration. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she deeply shared with those in her life. Donna was a light in the lives of many; her kindness and spirit will live on in the hearts of loved ones and everyone she touched. She will be missed endlessly and remembered with love.
Donna joins her father, Manuel R. Barela, and her brother, Christopher J. Barela in Heaven. She is survived by her Husband, Charles and Daughter, Tiffany (Chris); Mother, Carmen Gutierrez (Danny); Brother, Richard Barela (Danette); Sister, Frances Baldonado, Nephews Christopher Barela, Anthony Baldonado (Krista); Manuel Barela, Jacob Barela (Alisha); Father in Law, Charles “Chuck” Blea (Irene), Brothers in Law, Mark Blea (Jackie); Steve Blea (Martha); Sam Blea (Debbie); Nephew, Scott Trujillo (Eva); Niece, Natalie Nasseri (Ryan).
Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul, he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”.
Services will begin with Recitation of the Rosary at 1:00 PM, Wednesday April 15th, 2026, Daniel’s Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124 followed by Memorial Service at 2:00 PM; with burial immediately after.
