Dora M. Ulibarri

October 1, 1936 — December 7, 2024

Fort Collins

Dora M. Ulibarri, born on October 1, 1936, in a small town in New Mexico, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Colorado. She grew up in Santa Rosa, NM. Dora’s enduring legacy is cultivated in her cherished family, particularly in her beloved children: Ted Jerome (Virginia), Diana, and Larry. She is survived by sisters Julia, Esme, Edwina and her brother, Alfonso. Moreover, she shared a special bond with her niece, Joyce Gonzales.

Dora took pride in her grandchildren, Sondra Core and Freddy Sanchez. She was a great-grandmother to Asia Wright and great-great grandmother to Nero Wright and she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Though her husband, Ted Ulibarri, and her parents, Guillermo and Epimenia, along with several siblings, preceded her in death, their memories reside lovingly within her family.

Dora will be remembered for her baking and cooking. Her specialties included homemade toffee candy, which she made many batches of during the holidays to give to friends and family, and her red chile and Carne Adovada. Above all she devoted her life to her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was a member of Calvary Chapel of Belen before joining Calvary Church of Albuquerque.  At Calvary Chapel of Belen, she served as a member of the church's Bereavement Committee and supported many families as they said goodbye to their loved ones. Dora’s favorite blessing to her loved ones whenever they went anywhere, was "God's Angels Go With You.” Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 91 and Amazing Grace was her favorite song.

Dora's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service on December 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Southern Chapel in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and she will be buried with her husband, Ted, at Santa Fe National Cemetery the same day. She was greatly loved and her legacy of compassion, love, and resilience will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends.
